Krista Brown, LICSW, MHP, CMHS

I have extensive experience working with trauma and enjoy researching it in my spare time. In addition to trauma, I have a passion for working with people who are exploring their identities. I work with a client-centered orientation and offer a safe and comforting environment to challenge yourself towards positive and effective change.

Education:

I completed my bachelors degree in Social Work with a minor in Multicultural, Ethnic Studies. I completed two semesters studying abroad. I studied peace and conflict resolution in Ireland. I also completed an internship in South Africa where I was able to counsel local foster youth and participate in the domestic violence program. Following my bachelors, I worked for a period of time in nursing homes providing assessments and assisting families on the difficult transitions. I completed my Masters in Social Work through University of Southern California. While in my masters, I was an in-home trauma therapist. I originally worked in community mental health in Pierce County prior to starting my private practice. I also complete mental health assessments at emergency rooms for people experiencing a mental health crisis. Our Services »
